Contacting, Torodial, and Flow-Through Conductivity

May 4, 2020 | Product News

You can improve process performance, reliability and reduce the cost of ownership by simply using the best in industry conductivity products. The conductivity products provided through Foxboro by Schneider Electric utilize established technologies to deliver patented solutions with capabilities that are exclusive to industry.

There are three main conductivity products that Foxboro by Schneider Electric offers: Contacting, Torodial and Flow-Through.

Contacting Conductivity

Contacting Conductivity measures conductivity using electrodes. Foxboro offers a family of contacting sensors for resistivity and low-level conductivity measurements. There are multiple mounting methods, including, threaded bushings, flanges, ball valve, and sanitary.

High accuracy paired with universal bore mounting, selection of wetted materials, and compatibility with 875CR and 876CR makes these Contacting Conductivity products an optimal solution.

Torodial Conductivity

Torodial Conductivity uses an electrodeless conductivity sensor by using PEEK, Teflon, Polypropylene in either small or large bore designs and standard or high temperature. This product measures from single digit uS/cm to 2000 mS/cm and calibrated with precision calibration loop.

The Torodial sensor hosts an integral automatic temperature compensation that is compatible with 876EC and 875EC. Like the Contacting Conductivity products, the toroidal has multiple mounting accessories, which ensures a perfect fit for your application.

Flow-Through Conductivity

The flow-through conductivity products are a family of noninvasive, flow-through and toroidal conductivity sensors for 875EC or 876EC. The flow-through conductivity offers an industrial and sanitary version with a variety of line sizes including a 0.5 inch, 1.0 inch, 1.5 inch, 2.0 inch, 3.0 inch and 4.0 inch.

This family of products has a selection of process wetted materials and an in-line calibration with calibration plug. The flow-through conductivity installation process also eliminates bypass loops.

These three options and the extensive knowledge of the Neal System’s team will allow for us to help you select the best product, mounting, and installation for your conductivity needs. For more information of any of the conductivity options, contact the one of our engineers here!
