Gas Chlorination Systems Operation, Maintenance & Safety
August 4, 2021NSI Technical Director Pete Hutwelker will be teaching a class on Gas Chlorination Systems, Operation, Maintenance & Safety at the upcoming PA Rural Water Association show. The class will include an introductory lesson on chlorine gas, uses of chlorine, alternative forms of disinfection, history of chlorination, and chlorine gas storage.
The class will then go more in-depth into chlorine system design and chlorination equipment. Finally, there will be discussion on automatic control systems, chlorine residual analyzers, gas detectors, shutoff systems and chlorine safety.
